This section uses content from Wowpedia.- Thoras Trollbane was the warrior king of the human Kingdom of Stromgarde. He was a founding member the Alliance of Lordaeron during the Second War. Years later he withdrew from the Alliance due to disagreements with his friend King Terenas. Thoras was ultimately murdered by his son, Galen, who sought the throne of Stromgarde for himself.
During the Burning Legion's third invasion, the Deathlord of the Knights of the Ebon Blade raised King Thoras from his tomb in Stromgarde in order to recruit him as the second member of the new Four Horsemen.
