Pseudo-Armor?

If you can't Armor yourself, but can play Bolf, the outcome is the same for the purpose of e.g. fatigue damage. Is it OK to mention Bolf in Attribute#Armor? -- Karol007 (talk) 15:30, 15 August 2015 (UTC)

It's not really anything like Armor, but I get your point. The question is whether we should discuss Bolf, Immune and other hero-protecting measures in the section which is specifically meant to be about Armor, or whether that's a better fit for another article. -- Taohinton (talk) 00:44, 16 August 2015 (UTC)

I don't follow

Why is this significant? He can take at least one hit of any amount of damage, like any other minion. The question is, does the damage "spill over" e.g. does Pyroblast (10 damage) result in 9 damage for Bolf, him dying and 1 damage for the hero? What if Bolf has 6 Health left, is it any different? What about Arcane Missiles, Bolf with 1 Health and no other minions on the field? -- Karol007 (talk) 23:58, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

It's a question I've seen players asking people like Brode. Your following question also illustrates why it's worth being specific and as clear as possible. No, no damage spills over. He takes whatever damage is dealt to him, like with excessive damage on any other minion. A Pyroblast to a Sheep doesn't deal its spare damage to another target, and neither does a Pyroblast directed at a 1 Health Bolf. This is actually in one of those refs. Arcane Missiles is several separate attacks, but I still couldn't say for certain. I've tried to clarify this further on the page. -- Taohinton (talk) 01:42, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

Ice Lance: freeze, no damage dealt

If I cast LegacyIce Lance on a non-frozen hero that is protected by Bolf Ramshield, will the hero get frozen? -- Karol007 (talk) 11:10, 6 September 2015 (UTC)

My opinion: LegacyIce Lance on a non-frozen Character doesn't do 0 Damage, it doesn't even attempt to do damage. For example, Spell Damage +1 won't magically make it do 1 damage. So why would Bolf intercept something that isn't damage? I'm interested in the other cases, though - Ice Lance on frozen Hero, and Frostbolt on non-frozen Hero. I think Bolf will be frozen in neither case. --Patashu (talk) 13:14, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
In both cases Bolf takes the damage, but the hero gets / stays frozen? -- Karol007 (talk) 21:59, 6 September 2015 (UTC)
I agree this is interesting, and I agree with Patashu that it seems unlikely the Freeze will get redirected, since the effects are separate, as opposed to Water Elemental where the Freeze is triggered (and targeted) by the damage dealt. Please add that info here if you find out! -- Taohinton (talk) 04:11, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
