Notes
To edit these notes, go to Template:Stasis Dragon notes.
- Even though the "dormant" in Stasis Dragon's card text isn't keyworded like other Dormant cards, it mechanically functions as if it had the Dormant ability.
- To clarify, Stasis Dragon used to summon a different permanent minion, Stasis Dragon, but now instead makes itself go Dormant.
- Stasis Dragon will always start as a Dormant minion even if its summoned by another card's effect.
- The dormant Stasis Dragon has a Triggered effect at the start of your turn that counts down turns before transforming. Each trigger shows a counter displaying X/2.
- If your opponent copies your Stasis Dragon with Mirror Entity, their counter will increment to 1/2 immediately after your turn ends, which means your opponent will be able to use their awakened Stasis Dragon before you can use yours.
Trivia[]
- The artwork for this card comes from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game "Battle of the Aspects Chaos Heroes" series, for the card Nozdormu the Timeless One.
- The artwork was reused for the Battlegrounds-exclusive minion, Steward of Time.
- This minion prototyped the Dormant keyword introduced in Ashes of Outland and is mechanically equivalent to "Dormant for 2 turns" minions from that expansion. Despite this, as a limited-time Arena-only card, it was not updated to use the keyword.
