Similar to 
Webspinner or 
Jeweled Macaw, this card is a 1-drop value-generating Beast for Hunters.
Shimmerfly can synergize well with cards that benefit from Deathrattles, such as 
Necromechanic, or Spells, such as 
Zul'jin. Being a Beast also lets Shimmerfly synergize with Hunter's large amount of Beast-related cards.
