Loot Hoarder is a common neutral minion card, from the Classic set.

How to get

Loot Hoarder can be obtained through Classic card packs, through crafting, or as an Arena reward.

Card Crafting cost Disenchanting
Loot Hoarder 40 5
Golden Loot Hoarder 400 50

Strategy

This minion has lower than average stats for its cost, but compensates with a card draw ability. The Loot Hoarder is ideal for offensive early-game focused decks, forcing opponents to expend mana/cards to destroy it while you get to cycle through your deck faster.

Compared to LegacyNovice Engineer, the Loot Hoarder has greater Attack in exchange for lacking the immediate card draw (barring self-damage to the Loot Hoarder). The Deathrattle can also be lost via Silence or transform effects.

Quotes

Summon
Mind if I roll need?
Attack
Hey, gimme that!

Lore

Trivia

  • "Roll need" refers to the loot system in World of Warcraft. When splitting up loot, players roll a simulated die to see who gets the item. Generally, only players that need the item will roll, thereby "rolling need". A player is a Loot Hoarder (aka Loot Ninja) if they claim to need an item that they do not.[1]
  • The artwork for this card comes from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game "Fields of Honor" series, for the card Burgle.
