General Drakkisath is a boss encounter found in the Blackrock Mountain adventure. It is the second encounter of the adventure's third wing, Blackrock Spire.

- Notes
- As a passive hero power, Intense Gaze will be active throughout the match, including during the mulligan (unless replaced by another hero power).
- Intense Gaze's sets the cost of all cards to 1. This cannot be affected by cards such as
Emperor Thaurissan, Venture Co. Mercenary, Pint-Sized Summoner, Sorcerer's Apprentice, Mana Wraith or Loatheb. - As the mana crystal cap is 1, playing Innervate will cost 1 mana, and the player will gain back 1 mana. (This is similar to playing Innervate at 10 mana in a normal game, you are still capped at 10 mana).
- If General Drakkisath's hero power is replaced (via Jaraxxus, Majordomo Executus or Shadowform), the casting cost of cards immediately revert back to their usual costs. Both players still have only 1 mana crystal, but will start gaining 1 mana crystal at the start of all subsequent turns normally.

- Sprint is always the 5th card in his deck. That is, the first card he draws on his Turn 1 is always Sprint (he starts with 5 cards in hand of which 4 are from his deck and the 5th one is The Coin). He will almost never play The Coin unless it is to activate Combo on Kidnapper with no other cards in his hand, or his passive hero power is replaced. This is because The Coin costs 1 mana to play only to gain back 1 mana.

Blackrock Mountain
This dragonkin general leads Nefarian’s armies within Blackrock to inflict corporal punishment on the minions of Ragnaros. Ragnaros might also be a bad guy, but sometimes it turns out that the enemy of your enemy is still kind of a jerk. Don’t listen to that colonel of doubt: Drakkisath might be anti-Firelord, but in private he’s still pro-evil.[1]
