Evasive Drakonid is a common neutral minion card, from the Descent of Dragons set.

How to get

Evasive Drakonid can be obtained through Descent of Dragons card packs, or through crafting.

Card Crafting cost Disenchanting
Evasive Drakonid 40 5
Golden Evasive Drakonid 400 50

Strategy

In general, a very good taunt minion, being able to trade well for its cost and being immune to targeted removal. Should be noted that for 2 less mana, this card provides the same stat total as Whispers of the Old GodsSoggoth the Slitherer with a different distribution. Note that this card's Dragon tag makes it vulnerable to Descent of DragonsDragonmaw Poacher, which can take this card down and survive with 1 health.

Lore

Wowpedia iconThis section uses content from Wowpedia.
Drakonid (sometimes pluralized as drakonids and also spelled draconid) or drakonaar are humanoid dragon-like creatures typically used as guards and soldiers for their dragonflight.
Drakonid are mortals empowered by the dragons they serve, via intentional alteration or via "unintended side effect of hanging out with dragons". The process does not have to be willing. Each drakonid seems to have a fatal weakness to one magic type, making it suffer enormous damage from that particular school. This weakness can be used to the advantage of any mortal army daring to step into the halls of Blackwing Lair in order to challenge the sinister Blackrock MountainNefarian.

This particular drakonid appears to serve the Blue Dragonflight, and seems to have overcome the magic weakness common to most drakonid. She is also one of the first known examples of a female drakonid.
