Whenever this attacks, gain 1 Mana Crystal this turn only.
Captive manasabers don't behave much better--they're always scratching your furniture and coughing up mana balls.
Escaped Manasaber is an epic neutral minion card, from the Galakrond's Awakening set.
How to get
Two copies of regular Escaped Manasaber are obtained by defeating Waxrider Togwaggle in Galakrond's Awakening's Chapter 4 of Explorers campaign.
Once the regular version has been obtained, both regular and golden versions can be crafted and disenchanted.
Card | Crafting cost | Disenchanting |
---|---|---|
Escaped Manasaber | 400 | 100 |
Golden Escaped Manasaber | 1600 | 400 |
Notes
- Escaped Manasaber has no added effect if you have 10 full Mana Crystals.
Strategy
Escaped Manasaber has a solid body of its cost, comparable to Half-Time Scavenger. Its ability is versatile and useful, particularly in Tempo decks. This minion is almost guaranteed to attack, especially if played on curve, granting the player a free Innervate on demand. Each turn the Manasaber survives, it gains exponential value and it continues to give you extra mana.
Escaped Manasaber should be a priority kill if its on your opponent's board, as repeated attacks will give your opponent a serious mana advantage.
Escaped Manasaber can work in Midrange Hunter, combining its tempo advantage with the Beast tag. It also can be used with Untapped Potential to possibly play on curve while still fulfilling the quest. Outside of synergies, this card is just generically useful, making it great filler in a Highlander build.
Lore
- Manasabers (also written mana sabers) are a type of saber cat found on the Broken Isles (mainly in Suramar) that have been altered by the nightborne or by ley line exposure. Juveniles are referred to as manakittens. They are purple and covered with runes. They are usually the favored mounts and animal companions of the nightborne.
