Strategy[edit | edit source]
This card may seem attractive at first, having a total of 5/12 in stats after Spellburst and the potential to increase the attack-stat of the mana wyrms even further with more spells. However, Wyrm Weaver has serious problems in practice. Firstly, the Wyrm Weaver herself is understatted at 3/6 for 5 mana with no Taunt, making it a very low tempo play. Second, the sheer amount of spells one needs to use in order to both activate the Spellburst and turn the Mana Wyrms into an actual threat is absurdly high, likely never going beyond 2/3s or 3/3s, which can be easily destroyed via cheap AOE anyway. These issues, on-top of not having any tribe synergies, means this card is quite sub-par.
Quotes[edit | edit source]
- Always hungry for more.
- Effect triggering
- It's feeding time.
Lore[edit | edit source]
The Wyrm Weaver appears to be a Blood elf mage that handles Mana wyrms. The blood elves' affinity for mana wyrms was shown during the Burning Crusade expansion, as they used the wyrms as guardians of their mana crystals prior to Arthas Menethil's invasion of Quel'Thalas.
