Harpies are not pleasant sounding. That's the nicest I can put it.
How to get[edit | edit source]
Windfury Harpy can be obtained through Classic card packs, through crafting, or as an Arena reward. Golden Windfury Harpy can also be obtained through the Highest Rank Bonus chest at the end of each Ranked season.

Strategy[edit | edit source]
Windfury Harpy is a powerful damage dealer due to the Windfury ability, potentially leading to devastation of hero Health or of multiple minions. Windfury Harpy is a strong mid-late game card best used after it has some protection. Due to the ability to deal 8 damage a turn at the cost of 6 mana Windfury Harpy will constantly be a strong candidate for opponents' removal, especially if they are lacking Taunts.
Windfury Harpy works well in conjunction with the warrior spell Charge, allowing it to instantaneously clear out two minions or take out one high-health target, while potentially still leaving the threat of 8 damage to the enemy hero the next turn.
In Wild format, Windfury Harpy can be used in Even Paladin to provide Winfury to Corpsetakers. Even Shaman occasionally uses one copy of Windfury Harpy to assure that Corpsetakers will have Windufury if Al'Akir the Windlord is drawn.
Lore[edit | edit source]
- Harpies resemble a cross between a night elf female and a hunting bird, with long talons for feet and large graceful wings for arms.
- Once content to confine themselves to their ancestral home in the peaks of the Stonetalon Mountains, the feral and vicious harpies of Kalimdor have spread their influence across the length and breadth of the continent. The vicious winged women have taken to raiding unsuspecting caravans and savaging any who cross into their territories. Their nests, littered with the gruesome remains of their victims, are now a common sight from the arid mesas of Durotar to the lush forests of Teldrassil to the icy reaches of the Dragonblight and the Storm Peaks.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The artwork originally used for this card prior to patch 18.104.22.168761 comes from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game "Crown of the Heavens" series, for the card Harpy Matriarch.
