Scarlet Purifier[]

I don't have Goblins vs GnomesScarlet Purifier to do testing - I wonder if the Purifier will target minions affected by Ancestral Spirit, or only minions that already come with Deathrattle. Probably it will hit, since Rivendare's effect does work on the Ancestral Spirit Deathrattle just like the others (which is pretty great when you hit Stalagg with Spirit and Baron is out :) - jerodast (talk) 06:33, 21 February 2015 (UTC)

I would be very surprised if it didn't hit a minion with Ancestral Spirit. It would be very contradictory and I imagine I would have heard by now. I don't think there's any significance to whether it's granted by card text or a buff. -- Taohinton (talk) 01:33, 22 February 2015 (UTC)
I agree. What got me thinking about this was the fact that the card did not originally grant Deathrattle; I had assumed the change was made simply to clarify how the card worked. But now that I look at the timing, it was clearly also intended to interact with Deathrattle synergies. - jerodast (talk) 01:44, 22 February 2015 (UTC)
It sounds like the actual function of the card was changed - https://twitter.com/bdbrode/status/455803693057576960 - but yes, I guess it makes sense to make it a Deathrattle for synergy as well as clarity, a bit like the Mech conversions with GvG. -- Taohinton (talk) 05:10, 22 February 2015 (UTC)
