He is an effective card for any decks that rely on massing specific minions like Pogo-Hopper, Mogu Cultist, or Coldlight Oracle in Wild.
Tak makes a powerful combo with Academic Espionage, filling your hand with greatly discounted cards. This combo will require Preparation or The Coin to pull off.

Lore[edit | edit source]
Tak is unique to Hearthstone. He is one of King Togwaggle's most trusted lieutenants and is rather smart for a kobold. While he keeps Togwaggle's best interests at heart, Tak knows that it's often best to stand back and let the king bumble through things so he can pick up the pieces afterward, keeping some of them for himself. This results in Tak always being prepared for any situation by carrying an impressive assortment of misappropriated tools on him. His more reserved and patient attitude has kept him alive remarkably long for a kobold. Since the current business with the League of E.V.I.L. makes him uneasy and he is growing tired of cleaning up Togwaggle's messes, Tak is planning to retire after this one last job.[1]
Tak appears as one of the bosses in the Road to Northrend Tavern Brawl, taking place after the League of E.V.I.L. took over Dalaran. The League of E.V.I.L. abandoned him after completing their goal, leaving him lonely and vengeful, but nonetheless still remains loyal to them and takes out his anger out on the League of Explorers, alongside his only friend.
