For players with large collections, this card is suboptimal. Even for players with very small collections, it is generally worse than [[North Sea Kraken]] as an expensive, [[neutral]], [[common]] minion because if the minion is removed immediately, there is no auxiliary effect.
However, in situations in which this card must be played, it is best to first play one or more other, smaller, expensive minions to bait out [[removal]] that would otherwise negate this massive body.
