How to get
Prior Year of the Gryphon's rotation on March 30, 2021:
- Two copies of Soul Cleave were automatically included in all players' collections upon unlocking the Demon Hunter class.
- Two Golden copies of Soul Cleave were a reward for raising a Demon Hunter to levels 46 and 48.
Strategy
In the right conditions, Soul Cleave can be very effective for removing low health minions or lowering their health to vulnerable levels. Ideally used against precisely two minions, allowing the demon hunter to be certain of the spell's targets.
Soul Cleave compares to the Warrior spell Cleave, which has the same damage component for one less mana and loses the 4 healing. However, Demon Hunters benefit from Lifesteal due to their Demon Claws hero power.
Lore
Soul Cleave is a Havoc Demon Hunter ability that sweeps in front of the caster, damaging all enemies hit and healing the Demon Hunter for a percentage of the damage dealt.
