Robes of Protection can be obtained through Scholomance Academy card packs, through crafting, or as an Arena reward. Regular Robes of Protection can also be obtained through the Highest Rank Bonus chest at the end of a Ranked season.

Golden Robes of Protection 800 100

Strategy[edit | edit source]

Robes of Protection can protect your minions from enemy spells but also preventing you from casting spells on your own minions, so they can't be buffed or healed as easily. Robes of Protection is best used after you have built a good board in order to preserve single-target removal, or deny your opponent quick removal when you have a chance to win. It's a decent pick for a Zoo deck, or can be used in slower decks to grant key minions protection.

As noted in the flavour text, Elusive will not prevent Area of effect spells, making your opponent's board clears still effective against Robes of Protection. Some targeted AoE will still be prevented, such as Lightning Breath and Rolling Fireball. However, you can still affect your own board with AoE buffs like Survival of the Fittest and Power of the Wild, giving Aggro Druid extra flexibility with this card.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • This minion may be based on the scrapped Grounding Totem, as they have similar effects (only Robes of Protection will grant itself Elusive).
