Notes[edit | edit source]

  • The Sidequest resolves after any other card effects. If a card summons more minions than would be needed to complete the quest, all minions summoned will receive the buff.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

A delayed Mark of the Lotus which requires the player to summon 5 minions. It can effectively be seen as a 0 mana buff on the turn it's completed, so long as the player uses all of their mana that turn.

This can easily be done by simply playing Stand Against Darkness in Wild, the Corrupted version of Day at the Faire or by playing low cost minions or even using the hero power Reinforce. Sky Claw and Microtech Controller are also strong choices, summoning three minions for a low cost.

Brann Bronzebeard fits really good with this card. Since its effect doubles the Battlecry, it will summon additional minions, and, if used along Bug Collector, you can potentialy clear the board while giving your allies enough Health to survive an area spell.

This card provides very powerful synergy with aggro decks that have a lot of minions on the board but becomes very weak if there are few minions on the board. Since it activates on the 5th minion summon, it is best to finish the quest in one go or keep as many minions on the board before playing the sidequest. If your board is cleared before the quest is complete, you run the risk of having an empty board and 4/5 progress, only buffing a single minion.

The Voraxx can become a huge threat when combined with Righteous Cause. Every Plant will count for the mission. The full board with Plants that were buffed before the effect can turn all the board in your favor.

With the right timing, you can take a huge advantage when using this card along with Arch-Thief Rafaam's Mirror of Doom, creating a full board with 4/4 minions.
