Primordial Glyph is an epic mage spell card, from the Journey to Un'Goro set.

How to get[edit | edit source]

Primordial Glyph can be obtained through Journey to Un'Goro card packs, through crafting, or as an Arena reward. Golden Primordial Glyph can also be obtained through the Highest Rank Bonus chest at the end of each Ranked season.

Card Crafting cost Disenchanting
Primordial Glyph 400 100
Golden Primordial Glyph 1600 400

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • This spell has two steps:
    • First it discovers a spell card;
    • Then it creates a cost-modification enchantment attached to the generated card that reduces its mana cost by 2.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

This spell is flexible, and can be used to generate another spell that will directly help the mage; this can range from direct damage, removal and board clears, and stall/survivability cards when needed. Since there are currently 35 mage spells that can be offered, and you get three options, the chance of directly finding one specific spell is approximately 8.6%. If the desired spell is not offered, you might still be able to pick a new Primordial Glyph, which due to the mana discount would then be free; this "retry chance" results in a slightly higher chance to "eventually" discover the spell you need.
(In the wild format 46 mage spells are eligible, lowering the chance of directly finding a specific spell to 6.5%).

This spell is a great way to work towards the Quest Open the Waygate. Since it's possible for this spell to Discover itself, you can theoretically create an infinite chain of spells for cards like Mana Addict and Archmage Antonidas. This will also automatically complete the Quest. Doing this is exceptionally unlikely, though.
