Pirate
- For the Tavern Brawl minion, see Pirate (Tavern Brawl)..
The majority of Pirate cards fit a weapon theme and are most useful in decks that feature a lot of weapons. Pirates are associated with the rogue and warrior classes, although most Pirates and related cards are neutral.

Strategy[edit | edit source]
Rogues and warriors are ideal for a Pirate deck. This is because of the rogue's Hero Power, and the warrior's wide array of weapon cards that can be built into a deck. Paladins and to a lesser extent hunters and shamans can also make use of Pirates' abilities, depending on the card and the number of weapons in their deck. However, for maximum effect Pirates are best used in combination with a weapon-heavy class.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Prior to Whispers of the Old Gods Captain's Parrot was not craftable but had to be earned through collecting each Classic Pirate. The quest "Arrrrrr!!!" awarded 2 regular copies to the player upon collecting regular copies of all Classic Pirates, while "Golden Arrrrrr!!!" awarded 2 golden copies to the player upon collecting golden versions of the same Pirates. The accompanying patch removed the quests, and made Captain's Parrot craftable instead.
Patch changes[edit | edit source]
Patch 5.0.0.12574 (2016-04-24): The "Arrrrrr!!!" and "Golden Arrrrrr!!!" quests have been removed. Captain's Parrot is now craftable instead.
