Overview[]
The NVIDIA Hearthstone Pro/Am Tournament is an international tournament hosted by CEVO and sponsored by NVIDIA GeForce. Players from around the world will be able to compete for a part of the prize pool as well as qualification points toward the Hearthstone World Championship. Registration began on Tuesday, February 24th at 12:00 PM EST and will end on Thursday, March 19th at 12:00 PM EST. [1]
Format[]
- Amateur Group Stage
- Swiss style (results-based scheduling, and players do not play every other player) across six regional conferences
- Eight weeks of open group play, one match per week
- Players will only play other players in their regional conference
- Amateur Playoffs
- Schedule and format TBA
- Top 16 players advance to Global Playoffs
- Professional Group Stage
- Round-robin
- 16 invited players, 8 weeks of group player, 2 matches per week
- Group stage results will determine playoff seeding
- Global Playoffs
- Top 16 players from Amateur Division will play against the 16 players from Professional Division
- 32-team, single-elimination, Best of Five bracket
- Professional players are seeded 1-16, while Amateur players are seeded 17-32

$ 25,000 USD + 230 qualification points toward the Hearthstone World Championship are spread among the players as follows:
