Strategy
This card is a cornerstone of Even Shaman decks running Genn Greymane, having a decent body and a damage-dealing Battlecry that is high for its cost. Its effect will ensure it's useful in any stage of the game and a powerful tempo card in the early game. Because Shamans lack even-cost board clears aside from Hagatha the Witch, Murkspark Eel is crucial for early board game control to ensure you survive to that stage.
Trivia
- At the onset of the Year of the Dragon, Murkspark Eel joined Baku the Mooneater, Genn Greymane, Black Cat, Glitter Moth, and Gloom Stag as the first non-Classic cards to rotate into the Hall of Fame.
