** Note that while the 'stacks' model is easier to understand, despite the card's wording Mogor actually works as a triggered effect which is activated by any minion attacking. The chance is not possessed by the minions, but rather Mogor if activated has a chance to alter the minion's target for them, in a manner similar to [[Misdirection]].

Mogor in World of Warcraft

Mogor the Ogre is a legendary neutral minion card, from the Goblins vs Gnomes set.

How to get

Mogor the Ogre can be obtained through Goblins vs Gnomes card packs, or through crafting.

Card Crafting cost Disenchanting
Mogor the Ogre 1600 400
Golden Mogor the Ogre 3200 1600

Note

  • This minion effectively grants the forgetful effect to all minions. Each Mogor the Ogre effectively grants one 'stack' of the effect to each minion, even if they already have the effect.[1] Minions with multiple stacks of the effect, such as a Goblins vs GnomesDunemaul Shaman with a Mogor the Ogre on the board, will check once for each application.[2] For example, if a Dunemaul Shaman attacks while Mogor the Ogre is in play, he will first check to see if he attacks his intended target, and if not, will select a new target; then check a second time to see if he will attack his current target at that point. It is possible for targets to switch to an unintended target with the first forgetful effect, then switch back to the original target with the second.[3]
    • Note that while the 'stacks' model is easier to understand, despite the card's wording Mogor actually works as a triggered effect which is activated by any minion attacking. The chance is not possessed by the minions, but rather Mogor if activated has a chance to alter the minion's target for them, in a manner similar to LegacyMisdirection.

Strategy

While Mogor lets your other minions bypass Taunt and Stealth, his most valuable quality is breaking the focus of enemy minions, making it difficult to concentrate damage on one target and making any attack a potential suicide into Mogor. He is best with sturdy minions that gradually create advantage such as LegacyImp Master or LegacyNat Pagle.

Mogor's aura does not extend to heroes, weapons or spells.
