Lightforged Blessing is a common paladin spell card, from the Rise of Shadows set.

How to get[edit | edit source]

Lightforged Blessing can be obtained through Rise of Shadows card packs, through crafting, or as an Arena reward. Golden Lightforged Blessing can also be obtained through the Highest Rank Bonus chest at the end of each Ranked season.

Golden Lightforged Blessing 400 50

Strategy[edit | edit source]

A reasonable buff that can help recover from a losing position after the Paladin has stabilized with minions. It provides two sources of Lifesteal for just one card, making it fairly efficient. Lightforged Blessing works well on Taunt minions, especially against a wide board where the opponent may be forced to trace several minions and restore a large amount of health to you.

Lightforged Blessing pairs nicely with cards like Baron Geddon and Wild Pyromancer, letting their effects heal your hero. Putting it on a Blackguard gives you a devastating board clear, as Blackguard's own damaging effect will heal your hero and then trigger itself in turn, letting you damage enemy minions for up to the amount of health you are missing. Casting it on The Glass Knight will make it highly resilient against enemy minions, as it will restore its own Divine Shield every time it battles as long as you have health missing.

Lightforged Blessing can be of great impact when applied to Immortal Prelate or Da Undatakah with Immortal Prelate's deathrattle, as the enchantment applied will be kept throughout the game.

Lore[edit | edit source]

Based on the name, this card might represent the transformation Lightforged draenei undergo to become one with the Holy Light.

From Wowpedia:

The Lightforged draenei are a group of draenei part of the Army of the Light and the Alliance. For untold millennia, the Army of the Light waged war against the Burning Legion throughout the Twisting Nether. The draenei most committed to their long crusade would undergo a ritual to become Lightforged, infusing their bodies with the very essence of the Holy Light. After finally achieving victory on Argus, the Lightforged draenei have undertaken a new mission: protecting Azeroth from rising threats, and helping their kin from the Alliance push back against Horde aggression. They became an allied race and pledged their loyalty to King Anduin Wrynn.
