Holy Wrath Paladin
Holy Wrath Paladin or Combo Paladin is a Paladin deck type. It revolves around dealing 20+ damage from hand with Holy Wrath through drawing Molten Giant (in Wild mode) or Shirvallah, the Tiger (in Standard mode).
The combination of Holy Wrath + Molten Giant has gained a huge amount of consistency through the inclusion of the Journey to Un'Goro card Hemet, Jungle Hunter, allowing the Paladin to thin out their deck to ensure that the Holy Wrath hits their target for as much damage as possible. The gameplan of the deck is to rapidly cycle through their deck with card draw during the early and mid-game, and setup for the finishing blow with Holy Wrath in the late game. Due to the removal of Molten Giant from the standard format at the start of the Year of the Raven, Holy Wrath Paladin is now exclusive to play in Wild (and with cheaper cost deal 20+ damage from hand then used combo). However, with the addition of Shirvallah, the Tiger in Rastakhan's Rumble the deck has returned to the Standard mode.
The strategy of the archetype is to thin out their deck with high amounts of card draw, then drop Shirvallah or Molten Giant for around 0 mana and use Baleful Banker on it. This will guarantee Holy Wrath will hit for its maximum damage. The deck often uses Uther of the Ebon Blade as an alternative win condition in case their opponent out-armors or otherwise nullifies their main combo, outlasting until all four Horsemen can be summoned.
