Trivia

  • Hagatha was first teased at the end of The Witchwood announcement video, with Dave Kosak fearing the sudden appearance of "Hagatha the Witch" and mentioning "We cannot make that card" twice with a frightened expression while Ben Brode says that "It's too OP" before the three of them (Dave Kosak, Ben Brode and Ben Thompson) run away in fear. The camera they dropped then focuses on the Hagatha the Witch hero card, whose sinister laughter is heard at the end of the video.
  • Hagatha originated from a concept drawn by Jomaro Kindred, who has described the character as "a lot of things I like and a lot of things that I'm afraid of at the same time".[1]
  • Hagatha's mirror greeting refers to the opening line of T.S. Eliot's The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.
  • Hagatha's flavor text references the Overwatch character Hanzo, as well as the "Hanzo main" meme.
  • Hagatha's name is likely a reference to the Marvel comics character Agatha Harkness.
