Counters[]
- Using weak damaging spells, like Backstab or the Mage's Fireblast, on minions with Divine Shield is the best way to remove it without unnecessarily damaging your minions. Also transforming abilities, like Hex, or silences will remove a Divine Shield along with removing the powerful Deathrattle effect of the Paladin's Tirion Fordring card.
- Cards that change health like Equality will affect a minion through Divine Shield and removal cards like Assassinate will still instantly kill a minion with divine shield.
- Silence is an incredibly powerful ability against the Paladin because it renders cards such as Tirion Fordring and Argent Protector useless.
- Cards that can destroy equipment will take away a lot of the Paladin's board clearing capacity, such cards include Harrison Jones and Acidic Swamp Ooze
Paladin Hero Powers[]
Hero Powers are unique abilities, specific to each class. At the beginning of each turn the Hero Power resets so that you can cast it again.
Paladin Spells[]
Spells are abilities that cost mana crystals but do NOT summon minions. Each spell has a unique effect and cost. But be careful using too many spells leaves you vulnerable to your opponents minions.
All classes can also use spells in their decks. See Spell cards.
Paladin Secrets[]
a Secret is an ability where a card is played face down and a stated effect triggers upon a condition not revealed to the other player, but the other player can see that a card has been played face down. Certain classes have cards that can reveal secrets, such as a Hunters Flare. Currently, secret cards are limited to Mage, Paladin and Hunter class. See Secret Cards.
Paladin Minions[]
All classes can also use minions in their decks which do not have a defined class. See Minion cards.
Paladin Equipment[]
Currently Warriors, Warlocks, Paladins, Rogues, Shamans and Hunters have special equipment cards. See Equipment cards. All equipment has both damage and durability. Each turn you may attack with your character (in this case Uther). The damage dealt varys from weapon to weapon, but unlike minions, weapons lose 1 durability each time you attack. The regular rules of minion combat apply, however your champions health is used if you attack an enemy minion. You can't draw and play Ashebringer itself, because it's not a card from your deck. It will automatically be equipped at your hero's hand as soon as Tirion Fordring goes to graveyard.
Paladin Basic Cards[]
The following cards are obtained for use in a Paladin deck by reaching the following levels as a Paladin:
