- Echoing Ooze's Battlecry grants itself a triggered effect (denoted by the special "Ooze" visual effect) which activates at the end of the turn once.
- Like other Battlecries, the effect will be granted again if any Ooze is returned to a player's hand, and played again. Even a "copied" Ooze is "basically a brand new card" once returned to the hand.[1]
- This means an Echoing Ooze played, allowed to self-copy, returned to hand, and played again, will result in a total of three Echoing Oozes. This is true regardless of whether the "original" or "copied" Echoing Ooze is returned to hand.
- An Echoing Ooze played, immediately returned (before it copies), and played again will only copy itself once, for a total of two Echoing Oozes.
- Any damage and new enchantments before the end of the turn its Battlecry is activated will also be copied.[2]
- Echoing Ooze will not copy itself if it is silenced,[3] destroyed[4] or transformed before the end of the turn on which it is played.
- If Power Overwhelming is cast on the Ooze before the end of the turn on which it is played, the Ooze's copy will not die at the end of your turn, but at the end of your opponent's turn.[5]

Trivia[]
- Ben Brode has described Echoing Ooze's behaviour as "weird", stating "it is unlike any other card."[6]
- Echoing Ooze has its origins in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze.[7]
- Echoing Ooze was originally envisioned as a 2 Mana, 1/1 Minion, named "Bile Sludge", that had the effect "Deathrattle: Summon two copies of this minion. If you have 7 minions, destroy them all."[8]
- Echoing Ooze was a part of Patch 22.6.1.1.1.1, an April Fools 2022 prank, with the announced named change from "Echoing Ooze" to "Repeatable This Turn-ing Ooze".
