Notes[edit | edit source]

  • The player starts with Mogrin the Injured on the board.
  • Mogrin the Injured is the highest priority target of the boss in all cases except the player's minions with low HP or when the boss at low HP.
  • The player always draws the cards on first five turns in next order - Explosive Trap, Fresh Scent, Augmented Porcupine, Houndmaster, Unleash the Beast.
    • If any of these cards were got on mulligan, the player will draw a random card instead on respective turn. The cards above may be one of these randomly drawed cards which leads to another random draw on turns 1-5 accordingly.
  • The dialogue at the end of the fight is unchanged if Mogrin survived.

Dialogue[edit | edit source]

Before match

Rexxar (present)
I left the Horde. With Misha at my side, we journeyed through the Kalimdor wilds.
I was careful to always avoid the cities. Until one day, I had no choice...

What is that commotion? A battle?
Mogrin the Injured
Come, you quilboar mongrels! Taste the steel of Mogrin's axe!
Hold fast, stranger! You shall not stand alone!

Turn 1

Mogrin the Injured
They came out of nowhere!
You are badly hurt. Let me handle the rest of them!

Turn 2

I can do little to ease your pain.
Mogrin the Injured
I know. This would be a good death... if not for my failure.

Boss' turn 2

Mogrin the Injured
I was to deliver... a crucial report... to my chieftain.
But now... I cannot. I have lost my honor.

Mogrin is dead

I will deliver your message. Your honor is not lost.
Mogrin the Injured
Seek out the city of Orgrimmar. Find Warchief Thrall. Tell him...
May the winds bear you swiftly to your ancestors, warrior.

A message for you, Warchief. Mogrin entrusted me with it before he passed.
Warchief Thrall
I see. You have done us a great service. Please accept our hospitality here in Durotar.
Only if you'll let me carry my own weight.

Lore[edit | edit source]

From Wowpedia:

Quilboar are a race of aggressive, primitive boar-like humanoids native to Kalimdor and Kul Tiras. They have razor sharp spines protruding from their muscular, hunched backs. These resilient, fearless creatures inhabit the central Barrens of Kalimdor in the labyrinthine maze of thorns called Razorfen Downs.
Mogrin was an orc warrior and faithful messenger for the Horde, known to Warchief Thrall by name. He was entrusted with a crucial report to be delivered to Thrall in Orgrimmar, but was ambushed by quilboars and received a fatal wound, his stomach split open. He found himself being aided by Rexxar, one of the Mok'Nathal, and the surviving Quilboar fled. Mogrin was devastated as he had failed his mission and would die without honor. Rexxar, however, volunteered to deliver the message for him, for the sake of honor. Mogrin was grateful but was unable to tell Rexxar any additional information before dying in the wilds of Durotar.
