After you Discover a card, reduce its cost by (1).
She's making great progress on paying off that advanced degree.
How to get[edit | edit source]
Dwarven Archaeologist can be obtained through Saviors of Uldum card packs, through crafting, or as an Arena reward. Regular Dwarven Archaeologist can also be obtained through the Highest Rank Bonus chest at the end of a Ranked season.
|Golden Dwarven Archaeologist||1600||400|
Notes[edit | edit source]
- When played alongside Discover cards with the "keep all 3" option, such as Omega Assembly, Crystalsong Portal, and Master's Call, Dwarven Archaeologist will discount all acquired cards.
- Dwarven Archaeologist will not, however, discount cards not Discovered by the player, such as through Archmage Vargoth or Grand Archivist.
Strategy[edit | edit source]
The Discover effect is not so strong on his own and is not so confident due to the random effect (A Light in the Darkness and related effects) and Dwarven Archaeologist will reduce the possible risk, since that card can be played earlier.
This can be a good pick with the Tri-class Discover cycle (Grimestreet Informant, Lotus Agents, Kabal Chemist). Her effect also combines very well with Instructor Fireheart, potentially giving you lots of discounts and allowing you to cycle through 1-cost spells for no mana.
Paladin players can take advantage by combining with Hydrologist, possible obtaining a 0 cost secret. A Light in the Darkness will provide not only a buffed minion, but with reduced cost as well. Bronze Explorer is a good choice too, especially when Dragon Consort is active. Ivory Knight is a nice pick, since the cost reduction is applied after the Discover phase, and the healing is part of the Discover effect.
