This page lists all card changes made in Duels, to date.

Only intentional design changes are listed here. For bugs and bug fixes, see Bugs. Major changes to game mechanics can be found on the pages Game Mechanics Updates and Rule changes. Minor changes to card text and underlying mechanics can be found on individual card or patch pages.

Official explanations of card changes featured in patch notes are included here to provide context for the changes. Changes are listed by patch, in date order. For a list of changes to specific cards, see individual card pages.

Patch 19.6.0.74257 (2021-02-19)

Hero Powers

• Frost Shards - Now costs 2 mana (Up from 1)

Signature Treasure cards

• Men at Arms - Now costs 4 mana (Down from 6)
• Humble Blessings - Now costs 3 mana (Down from 5)
• Fluctuating Totem - Now has 1 Attack (Up from 0). Now has 4 Health (Up from 3).
• Demonizer - Now costs 4 mana (Up from 3)
• Killmox, the Banished One - Now costs 7 mana (Up from 6)
• Spiked Arms - Now has 3 Attack (Down from 4). Now has 3 Durability (Up from 1).

Treasure cards

• Gattling Gunner - removed from the Active pool
• Mage Armor - is now a neutral card (previously: mage)

Patch 19.4.1.72661 (2021-01-28)

Hero Powers

• Outlander - Now is an active Hero Power and costs 1 mana. (previously: Passive Hero Power)
• Death Games - Now reads: Trigger a random friendly minion's Deathrattle. (previously: Trigger a minion's Deathrattle.)

Signature Treasure cards

• Bonecrusher - Now costs 8 mana (Up from 6). Is now a Beast (previously: no minion type).
• Fractured Spirits - Now costs 4 mana (Down from 5)
• Royal Greatsword - Now costs 5 mana (Down from 6)
• Herald of the Scaled Ones - Is now a Dragon (previously: no minion type)

Treasure cards

• Cannibalism - moved from Passive pool 1 to pool 2
• Sandy Surprise - removed from the Passive pool

Patch 19.4.0.71003 (2021-01-21)

Hero Powers

• Added a new Hero Power for each class.

Signature Treasure cards

• Added two new Signature Treasures for each class and five dual-class ones.

Treasure cards

• Added new Passive treasures: All Shall Serve, Dragonblood, Starving, The Floor is Lava.
• Added new Active treasures: Mage Armor, Astral Portal.

Patch 19.2.0.68600 (2020-12-15)

General

• Reduced the number of unique Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Epic cards required for unlocking Hero Power #2 for each class from 10 to 5.
• Reduced the number of unique Madness at the Darkmoon Faire cards required for unlocking Signature Treasure #2 for each class from 100 to 90.
• Reduced the number of unique Scholomance Academy Epic cards required for unlocking Signature Treasure #3 for each class from 20 to 15.
• Updated wording of criteria for Hero Powers and Signature Treasures to better reflect unlock requirements.

• Secret Studies - Now costs 1 mana (Down from 2)
• Connections - Shadowshell Informant no longer has Battlecry.

Signature Treasure cards

• Mo'arg Outcast - Now costs 4 mana (Up from 3)
• Gift of the Legion - Now costs 3 mana (Up from 2)
• Herding Horn - Now costs 4 mana (Down from 5)
• Drocomurchanicas - Now costs 4 mana (Down from 5)
• Killmox, the Banished One - Now reads: Rush. Lifesteal. This minion has +1/+1 for each card you discarded this game. If this minion is discarded, return it to your hand. (previously: ...+1/+1...)
  • Dev Comment: Turns out Killmox was a Killjoy…moved to +1/+1.

• Lunar Band - removed from the Passive pool
• From the Swamp - moved from Passive pool 1 to pool 2
• Band of Bees - moved from Passive pool 2 to pool 2 Ultra Rare
• Phaoris' Blade - moved from Active pool 1 to pool 2. Now costs 5 mana (Up from 4).
• Grimmer Patron - moved from Active pool 1 to pool 2
• Wax Rager - moved from Active pool 2 to pool 2 Ultra Rare

Patch 19.0.0.65614 (2020-11-12)

• Added a new unlockable Hero Power for each class.

• Added two new Signature Treasures for each class.

• Added new Passive treasures: Cannibalism, Dragon Affinity, Fireshaper, Grommash's Armguards, Plaguebringer, Sandy Surprise, Staking A Claim, Dragonbone Ritual, From the Swamp, Manastorm.
• Sticky Fingers - Now reads: "Cards that didn't start in your deck cost (1) less, but not less than (1)." (Previously: "Cards that didn't start in your deck cost (1) less.")

Patch 18.6.1.65000 (2020-11-05)

Hero Powers

• Roguish Maneuvers - Now costs 1 mana (Down from 2)
• Totemic Power - Now reads: Summon a random Totem. If you’re Overloaded, summon a non-basic Totem instead. (previously: Summon a random Totem. If you’re Overloaded, summon a non-basic Totem as well.)
• Dark Arts - Now costs 1 mana (Down from 2)
• No Guts, No Glory - Now costs 1 mana (Down from 2)

Signature Treasure cards

• Summoning Ritual - Now costs 5 mana (Up from 4)
• Deadly Weapons 101 - Now reads: Give your weapon +2/+2. Combo: Also give it Poisonous. (previously: Give your weapon +2/+1...)

• Mr. Bigglesworth - removed from the active Treasures pool
  • Dev Comment: Mr. Bigglesworth was a very bad kitty and snuck into the pool, he has now been removed and is being dried off.
• Party Portal - Now has 4 Health (Down from 6)
• Amalgamate - Now costs 0 mana (Down from 1)
• Spyglass - Now costs 1 mana (Down from 2)
• Canopic Jars - Now costs 5 mana (Up from 4)
• Wish - Now costs 10 mana (Down from 11)
• Pure Cold - Now costs 5 mana (Down from 6)
• Crystal Gem - Now reads: On your first two turns you have 1 extra Mana Crystal. (previously: On your first turn you have 2 Mana Crystals.)

• Robes of Gaudiness - removed from the passive Treasures pool.
