The Doomed Apprentice appears to be a death knight version of 
Sorcerer's Apprentice, which is reflected in her card text and quotes.[1]
Trivia[]
- Doomed Apprentice's flavor text may be a reference to Kinndy Sparkshine, an apprentice of
Jaina Proudmoore who was killed in Garrosh Hellscream's bombing of Theramore Isle.
