Deathspeaker is a common neutral minion card, from the Knights of the Frozen Throne set.

How to get[edit | edit source]

Deathspeaker can be obtained through Knights of the Frozen Throne card packs, or through crafting.

Card Crafting cost Disenchanting
Deathspeaker 40 5
Golden Deathspeaker 400 50

Strategy[edit | edit source]

Deathspeaker is similar to Argent Protector when played with an attacking minion. It can prevent a minion from taking any damage during a trade, allowing you to trade up. Unlike Argent Protector, it cannot be played proactively to give a non-attacking minion Divine Shield. However, Deathspeaker also has a larger body and is a neutral minion.

Unlike Argent Protector, Deathspeaker works better with minions that damage themselves and/or can attack repeatedly, such as Giant Sand Worm, or Windfury minions, preventing two or more sources of damage. It also synergizes with Baron Geddon, as it can prevent other friendly minions from taking 2 damage this turn.

Quotes[edit | edit source]

I sense your struggle.
Let's eat.

Lore[edit | edit source]

The Deathspeakers are a group of cultists from the Cult of the Damned fervently listening to Lady Deathwhisper's sermon at the Oratory of the Damned in Icecrown Citadel.

Hearthstone's Deathspeaker appears to specifically represent the nerubian Deathspeaker High Priests.

From Wowpedia:

Deathspeaker High Priests are trash mobs present next to Lady Deathwhisper, and are high health caster types with three abilities.
