How to get[edit | edit source]
Deathaxe Punisher can be obtained through Knights of the Frozen Throne card packs, or through crafting.
Card | Crafting cost | Disenchanting |
---|---|---|
Deathaxe Punisher | 400 | 100 |
Golden Deathaxe Punisher | 1600 | 400 |
Strategy[edit | edit source]
Deathaxe Punisher represents a total of 5/5 stats for 4 Mana, although the +2/+2 buffing effect is dependant on having a Lifesteal minion in hand, which is hard to guarantee, as there are currently no decks that carry more than one or two Lifesteal minions. Also, since this is a hand buff effect, the +2/+2 is delayed, and requires more mana investment to get into play, making Deathaxe Punisher a 3/3 for 4 Mana with no immediate impact.
Paladin have some great cards to work along with Deathaxe Punisher like Crystalsmith Kangor, Wickerflame Burnbristle, Chillblade Champion, Shirvallah.
High Priestess Jeklik is a really powerful card to combine with. Since every discard generate copies, every copy will keep the buff, while becoming an almost infinite minion resource.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The artwork for this card comes from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game "Scourgewar" series, for the card Human Shield.
- Much like Arcanite Reaper, Deathaxe Punisher's flavor text is a reference to the 1976 song "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" by the American rock band Blue Öyster Cult. The Punisher is also wielding an Arcanite Reaper in his card art.
