Chaos Nova full

LegacyFlamestrike is so Year of the Mammoth.

Control Demon Hunter is a control demon hunter deck that uses the class' removal options (particularly their abundance of quality Rush minions) and Lifesteal to control the board and eventually swing for lethal.

While a fringe archetype compared to the much more consistent Aggro Demon Hunter or Control Warrior, Demon Hunters provide a faster take on Control decks with well-statted minions, incredible card draw, and increased value through neutral cards like Saviors of UldumZephrys the Great and Madness at the Darkmoon FaireY'Shaarj, the Defiler. Madness at the Darkmoon FaireZai, the Incredible forms the crux of this archetype, giving the Demon Hunter extra uses of key cards. Some versions of these decks even run cards like Madness at the Darkmoon FaireC'Thun, the Shattered, base Whispers of the Old GodsC'Thun or other value-based cards in order to stay ahead of aggressive or midrangesh decks.

In the Year of the Griffin in Standard, Control Demon Hunters lost their Highlander builds, but still retains their Corrupt package and Zai. Forged in the Barrens added many new tools for Demon Hunters as well, like Both Sigils, Forged in the BarrensKurtrus Ashfallen, and even some other tools like a Watchpost style package, Forged in the BarrensKazakus, Golem Shaper, and Forged in the BarrensMankrik.
