Breath of Dreams
|Set:||Descent of Dragons|
|Tags:||Dragon-related, Hand-related, Mana-related|
Draw a card. If you're holding a Dragon, gain an empty Mana Crystal.
Ysera has the worst morning breath.
How to get[edit | edit source]
Breath of Dreams can be obtained through Descent of Dragons card packs, through crafting, or as an Arena reward. Regular Breath of Dreams can also be obtained through the Highest Rank Bonus chest at the end of a Ranked season by reaching Rank 5 in Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum (rewards are added cumulatively the higher you rank).
|Breath of Dreams||100||20|
|Golden Breath of Dreams||800||100|
Notes[edit | edit source]
- Breath of Dreams checks to see if you are holding a dragon after drawing a card. Therefore, if you draw a dragon with none in your hand before, you will gain a Mana Crystal.
- Breath of Dreams does not create an Excess Mana card when played at 10 mana with a dragon in hand.
Strategy[edit | edit source]
If used when a dragon is in the hand, this acts as a pre-nerf Wild Growth that also cycles a card. Druid has a selection of powerful dragons such as Ysera, Unleashed and Emerald Explorer to keep in their hand and activate the effect with. You can also use cheaper dragons like Faerie Dragon and Evasive Feywing for cards that are safer to keep in your hand. Your deck should have roughly ten dragons or more if you want to use Breath of Dreams and have its effect consistently trigger on curve.
You don't always need a dragon in your hand to play this card, and you never have to in the late game. The card draw effect is reasonable if you need to spend your mana and stay on Tempo. There's always the chance you will draw a dragon, anyway.
