Bonemare is a common neutral minion card, from the Knights of the Frozen Throne set.[1]

How to get[edit | edit source]

Bonemare can be obtained through Knights of the Frozen Throne card packs, through crafting, or as an Arena reward. Golden Bonemare can also be obtained through the Highest Rank Bonus chest at the end of each Ranked season.

Card Crafting cost Disenchanting
Bonemare 40 5
Golden Bonemare 400 50

Strategy[edit | edit source]

This card can yield incredible tempo swings with a decent 5/5 stats and an effect similar to Blessing of Kings that gives Taunt, for a total of 9/9 stats split between two bodies for 7 mana. When played on a relatively small minion, Bonemare can create two medium-sized threats at the same time.

It is comparable to Jade Chieftain, another 7 mana 5/5 which grants Taunt, although in a very different way.

This card also works well with Evolve-related effects, as the actual minion has very poor stats for 7 mana and can become an 8-mana minion, generally considered the best mana slot in the game. (Usually).

In Wild format, Brann Bronzebeard synergizes extremely well with Bonemare, potentially allowing it to give a targeted minion +8/+8, making even small and insignificant minions into major threats.

Lore[edit | edit source]

From Wowpedia:

Skeletal horses are the remains of horses that have succumbed to the Lich King's plague. They have since been raised from the dead by the Royal Apothecary Society in the Undercity and are now used as mounts by the Forsaken.
The Forsaken believe that without a purpose, even beasts of burden suffer in undeath.
