Bloodmage Thalnos can be obtained through Classic card packs, through crafting, or as an Arena reward. Regular Bloodmage Thalnos can also be obtained as a first-time reward for first time reaching Legend in Ranked mode.

Strategy
Bloodmage Thalnos is generally considered to be an excellent card. Not only is he great in a spell damage deck, but his deathrattle and cheap cost make him a great card to have out early, even if he dies. The disadvantage of Bloodmage Thalnos is his weak combat stats. As a 1/1 with a 2 mana cost he is susceptible to any form of direct or indirect damage, although his deathrattle may make up for this somewhat.

Bloodmage Thalnos is a level 32 elite skeleton mini-boss found in the Graveyard of the Scarlet Monastery, just below the staircase at the far end of the graveyard itself. Although he lacks any distinguishing mortal features, judging from his title it is assumed that Thalnos was once a blood elf mage prior to his undeath.
