The Bananas can be both advantageous for you and disadvantageous for your opponent if used properly. Being cheap spells, they are excellent for triggering Combo effects or activating Spellburst.
The Bananas can also help progress certain win-conditions such as The Last Kaleidosaur, Open the Way Gate, Raid the Sky Temple, or Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate.
Additionally, if your opponent is holding enough cards, you can mill them with the Bananas they receive. They will also not gain anything if there is no room in their hand.
