Zombie. It's what's for dinner.
Zombie Chow is a common Naxxramas minion card.
How to get
Two copies of regular Zombie Chow are obtained by defeating Gluth in Curse of Naxxramas's Construct Quarter.
As a Wild-format card, both regular and golden versions of Zombie Chow can also be crafted for the following amounts:
Card | Crafting cost | Disenchanting |
---|---|---|
Zombie Chow | 40 | 5 |
Golden Zombie Chow | 400 | 50 |
Notes
- Zombie Chow's Deathrattle healing effect synergises with cards such as Auchenai Soulpriest.[1]
- If a low-health hero attacks a Zombie Chow, simultaneously dealing fatal damage to both characters, the Zombie Chow's Deathrattle healing effect will be observed to trigger, but the player will still be destroyed, losing them the game.
Strategy
This card's Deathrattle is an obvious tradeoff for its otherwise low cost. However, in the right circumstances this can be offset, such as by silencing the minion, or by using it at the start of the game to trade for an enemy minion before the opponent has been damaged.
The most potent combination of all, however, is Auchenai Soulpriest. With this card in play, Zombie Chow's Deathrattle will instead deal 5 damage to the enemy, effectively turning it into a better version of Leper Gnome.
Gadgetzan Jouster offers the same stats for the same cost, but without the unfortunate Deathrattle, provided you win the Joust.
Lore
- Zombie Chows can be found in Naxxramas. They spawn during the encounter with Gluth. They must be kited until Gluth reduces their health with Decimate, and then quickly killed.
