How to get
Prior Year of the Gryphon's rotation on March 30, 2021:
- Two copies of Sacrificial Pact were a reward for raising a warlock to level 8.
- Two Golden copies of Sacrificial Pact were a reward for raising a warlock to levels 15 and 20.
Notes
- Sacrificial Pact sets the target minion pending destroy, then heals your hero.[1]
- Sacrificial Pact will no longer be offered for selection in Arena, since the 15th of September 2016.[2] However, it is still obtainable in Arena matches through random effects, such as
Spellslinger.
Strategy
Sacrificial Pact can be used on either your own or your opponent's Demon, making it particularly useful against other warlocks. Additionally, Sacrificial Pact can also be used on Lord Jaraxxus after he has become the opposing hero to result in an instant win. It is also an excellent counter to Mirror Entity; no matter how strong the Demon you're about to play is, you can simply destroy the copy of your Demon with the Sacrificial Pact.
It should be noted that this ability may be used on the neutral Demons: 
Illidan Stormrage, Imp Master's Imps and 
Prince Malchezaar.
Can be combined with Power Overwhelming to allow a Demon to deal massive combat damage before then healing the warlock, with no additional sacrifice.
Can also be combined with Dreadsteed to restore 5 Health without any sacrifice.

In World of Warcraft, Sacrificial Pact is a talented ability that allows warlocks to sacrifice a portion of their minion's health to create a temporary shield for themselves.
The unusual relationship between warlocks and their summoned demons is well-documented.

- During the game's alpha this spell was called "Grimoire of Sacrifice".
- In One Night in Karazhan's
Nazra Wildaxe encounter, if played against Malchezaar, Sacrificial Pact will be Countered, triggering the dialogue "Hahaha! That could never work on a true Eredar Lord!" However, if cast by Yogg-Saron, it will successfully kill off Malchezaar.
